Archives for category: It’s Nature But Not As We Know It

Beautiful cover for T Magazine made with quilling. Looking at it makes me feel very happy!

Quilling is the art of rolling and pinching thin strips of paper into multidimensional designs. It’s something Sherry Rodehaver has been doing since 1971, and for “Second Nature,” she, along with four women from the North American Quilling Guild, reimagined our “T” as a magical field bursting with sunflowers and dandelions. “I never want anybody to walk away from my work without having that wow factor,” said Rodehaver.

Cardboard Sculptures by Bartek Elsner / Via Colossal

The weather in London is absolutely gorgeous at the moment and, after 2 days in sunshine, I fell in love with these delicate paper sculptures of butterflies by Rebecca J Coles that I saw on Trendhunter.

Look at this beautiful butterfly shoot for Dazed & Confused by Ben Toms and makeup master Peter Philips. Natural and ethereal, and the pastel backgrounds are bang on trend.
